Best practice for Linux proxy VM configuration in HotAdd transport
Linux Proxy VM에 다수의 hotadd transport 가 있으면 디스크를 올바르게 인식하지 못할 수 있습니다. SCSI 컨트롤러를 추가할때 KB에 있는 규칙을 따르면 문제를 회피할 수 있습니다.

  

VMware ESXi

ESXi host may crash with a PSOD – Spin count exceeded – possible deadlock with PCPU
vSphere Replication을 사용할때 region이 크면 PSOD가 발생할 수 있습니다. 문제가 되는 VM의 Replication을 중지해서 문제를 회피할 수 있습니다.

VVOLs are inaccessible after moving to another vCenter Server or refreshing CA certificate
Host를 다른 VC로 옮기거나 CA certificate를 refresh 한 후 VVOL ssl_reset이 자동으로 실행되지 않아 VVOL에 Access 가 안될 수 있습니다. Host에 SSL로 접속해서 vvold ssl_reset을 실행해서 문제를 회피할 수 있습니다.

SSH service does not respond after upgrading from ESXi 6.x to 6.7 U2
ESXi 6.x 에서 6.7 U2로 업그레이드 한 후 SSH 서비스가 응답하지 않을 수 있습니다. 부팅시에 ssh service에 이슈가 있는 것으로 부팅 후 ssh service를 disable 한 후 Enable 해서 문제를 회피할 수 있습니다.

VM may experience slowness with DELL 13G servers running on HBA 330 IO Controller
DELL 13G 서버가 HBA330 IO 컨트롤러를 사용할 때 VM이 느려지는 이슈가 있습니다. 현재 HBA330 IO 컨트롤러의 firmware를 16.17.00.03로 업그레이드 하지 않기를 권고 하고 있습니다.

Horizon 7.8이 Windows 10 1903서 user session을 만들지 못하는 이슈가 있습니다.

VMware Harbor upgrade fails with an error “Failed to update database, error: pq: must be owner of relation schema_migrations”
DB 소유자 정보가 올바르지 않아 Harbor 업그레이드가 실패하는 이슈로 Harbor 1.7.5에서 해결 되었습니다. DB 정보를 수정해서 문제를 회피할 수도 있습니다.

SDDC Manager에서 Workload Domain의 Precheck가 오랜 시간이 걸린 후 실패하는 이슈로 VCF 3.7에서 해결되었습니다.

새로 생성한 STS cert chain이 실패할 수 있습니다. VMware의 STS signing Certificate 관련 문서가 잘못된 것으로 Cert store를 수정해서 새로 만들어서 문제를 회피할 수 있습니다.

이름에 . 이나 , 가 있는 경우 Replication Policy를 적용하지 못할 수 있습니다. 수동으로 정책을 적용해서 문제를 회피할 수 있습니다.

 

VMware vRealize Automation

vRealize Automation generates the following error: “String or binary data would be truncated”
dbo.UserLog 테이블의 Message 컬럼의 크기가 작아서 에러가 발생하는 것으로 vRA 7.4에서 해결되었습니다. DB에서 컬럼 크기를 직접 수정해서 문제를 회피할 수 있습니다.

vCenter event for create/remove Virtual Machine is not reflected in vRealize Operations Manager 6.x or later
VM의 Create/Remove가 VROM에 보이지 않는 이슈로 VROM 7.5 이상에서 해결 되었습니다.

The Logs tab displays the message “This vROps is not integrated with a Log Insight yet.” in vRealize Operations Manager 7.5
vRealize Log Insight Management Pack 이 Activated 되지 않아서 오류가 발생할 수 있습니다. 수동으로 Enable 하면 문제를 해결할 수 있습니다.

Release of vRA Composite Blueprint fails if the blueprint was deleted manually from the release/target vRA endpoint before the release operation was performed
Blueprint를 release/target vRA endpoint에서 삭제할 경우 LCM 으로 Rlease 가 실패 합니다. source/capture vRA endpoint ID를 변경해서 문제를 해결할 수 있습니다.

vSAN Health check may report “Advanced vSAN Configuration in sync” for vsan.TcpipHeapMax and vsan.goto11
ESXi 6.5 U1 에서 vSAN Health Check 경고가 발생할 수 있습니다. vsan.TcpipHeapMax 와 vsan.goto11을 수동으로 변경해서 문제를 해결할 수 있습니다.

“Spin count exceeded” PSOD due to race condition caused by RecoverPoint for VM Appliance
RecoverPoint for VM Appliance 이슈로 PSOD가 발생할 수 있습니다. VxRAIL 기술지원을 받아야 하며 RP의 버전의 5.2 Patch 4 와 5.2 SP1으로 업그레이드 해야 합니다.
